About Big Island
The Kona side of the Big Island is known for its dry and stable weather. There are some developments north of Kona that feature some of the state’s most desirable real estate, in particular in developments such as Kukio Resort. Great golf, diving and fishing. Not many beaches but the beaches around are beautiful. No dramatic carved mountains like on Kauai or Oahu. A few fine restaurants, but not much in the way of dining, nightlife or shopping. Kona is a focus if you want dependable weather without excessive crowds.
